CLEVELAND, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- Fan support for Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett continues to pour in after he was indefinitely suspended by the NFL.

A change.org petition calling for Garrett to be reinstated by the league has more than 72,000 signatures as of 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The suspension came after he hit Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph in the head with a helmet during a fight that happened during the final seconds of the Brown’s win over the Steelers on Nov. 14.

Garrett has appealed his suspension.

Many, including the petition’s creator, feel Garrett was provoked by Rudolph. Rudolph was fined by the NFL but was not suspended.

Both teams were fined $250,000.
