CLEVELAND, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- The New York Yankees beat the Cleveland Indians in Game 5 of the American League Division Series, 5-2, winning the best-of-five series three games to two.
At Progressive Field, Indians fans emotions went from frustration to delight when the Tribe pulled within one one run of Yankees in the fifth inning.
Indians fan Chris Mahar knew Wednesday night's game five would be a challenge.
"When we were first looking at the matchups, the one team we didn't want to see was the Yankees. I hate to say it, but that's the one team we didn't want to see," said Mahar.
The Yankees now face the Houston Astros in the American League Championship Series.
