Columbus Crew SC sent targeted allocation money to the San Jose Earthquakes to acquire forward Adam Jahn, the 15th pick of the 2013 MLS Supplemental Draft.
Jahn has scored six goals in 62 MLS appearances, including 22 starts. He spent time on loan to the USL Sacramento Republic FC.
“We are pleased to welcome Adam to Columbus Crew SC as he provides valuable striker depth for our club in the second half of the season,” said Sporting Director and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter. “Adam has a strong physical presence, excellent work rate and is a threat inside the penalty box. We look forward to his arrival to Columbus and integrating him into the team.”
Jahn made 22 appearances and 11 starts as a rookie in 2013 with San Jose. He scored four goals as a rookie. He spent 2014 with San Jose and Sacramento before making 26 appearances with San Jose in 2015.
Crew SC is back in action at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Toronto on The CW Columbus.
