After Major League Soccer announced it was lifting its moratorium on team training, Columbus Crew players were at the club's training center in Obetz taking part in small group training sessions.
Voluntary small group training sessions began Thursday at the Crew SC Training Center at Obetz.
In order to return to full team training, clubs must submit individual plans to return to first-team training. These plans must be reviewed and approved by the club's medical staff and local infectious disease expert prior to submission to MLS for review.
Full team training will be mandatory for all players as teams take the next step toward a return to match play.
In an effort to maintain a safe environment for players and staff, all club plans must remain in compliance with local health and government policies including testing, facilities and equipment use, and player and safety processes.
