COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- Since taking over the Ohio State women's basketball program more than 4 years ago, head coach Kevin McGuff has made steady progress with the Buckeyes the program arguably having its best shot in 25 years to return to the Final Four for the first time since 1993.

The Buckeyes (26-6, 13-3 in Big Ten) earned a 3-seed in the Spokane region and will host Atlantic 10 champions George Washington at St. John Arena on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN2.

This is Ohio State's fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament (2nd round in 2015, Sweet Sixteen in '16 & '17).

The Buckeyes are coming off their second straight Big Ten regular season title and first conference tournament championship since 2010.
