A Virginia family that was facing the stress of not getting a paycheck due to the government shutdown is now celebrating a financial windfall.

Carrie Walls, of Ashburn, Virgnia has the winning ticket in a special Virginia Lottery promotion, winning $100,000 cash and a brand new Ford Expedition. The winning ticket was drawn December fourth, but she was finally able to pick up her prizes this past Friday.

Walls' husband works for the federal government and has been furloughed for three weeks and counting. While the money is a big help during the shutdown, Walls also says she'll use part of it for fun and take the family to Disney World.
