After nearly an 8-year hiatus a popular 90s snack is finally making a comeback!
Dunkaroos, which featured kangaroo themed cookies that could be dipped in icing, announced on Twitter that they will be in select store this summer.
The beloved 90s snack was first introduced in 1992 and was discontinued in the U.S. by General Mills in 2012.
Dunkaroos will only be available in two flavors, vanilla cookies with vanilla frosting or vanilla cookies with rainbow sprinkle frosting.
“We’re thrilled to relaunch Dunkaroos in the U.S. after years of it only being available in Canada,” says Jeff Caswell, president of Snacks at General Mills. “For those who grew up in the ‘90s, the original cookie-frosting combo represents the taste, color, and fun of being a kid during that decade. We know there’s a lot of love for Dunkaroos, and fans everywhere have been asking for it. We’re excited to help ‘90s kids relive all the best parts of childhood.”
Fans have been begging the company for years to bring back the snack after it was discontinued.
In April 2018 Kim Kardashian-West tweeted, "Obsessed with Dunkaroos. Please come back!"
