This California man who was caught licking a doorbell is just down right disturbing and creepy.
A family in Salinas, California, said their home surveillance cameras captured a man, who police have identified as Roberto Daniel Arroyo, licking their doorbell for about three hours.
The homeowners told KION that they were out of town when this strange incident this took place, but their kids were home and didn't wake up to the noise.
The Dungan family said their surveillance system notifies them when there's movement out front.
"I thought boy there's a lot of traffic. I go 5:00 in the morning, my son doesn't get home till 6:00, so I started reviewing the videos well who the heck is that," Sylvia Dungan said.
The Dungan family said they had just installed the security system less than a month ago and police say it's made their job easier.
Officer Miguel Cabrera, of the Salinas Police Department told KION, "we were pleasantly surprised the image was so clear it didn't take us long to identify the individual."
"This just kind of re-enforces how important it is to have security within your home," Sylvia said.
The camera also showed the man appearing to relieve himself.
Police say he also took an extension cord from the front yard, but the neighbors found it the next morning.
Sylvia said, "you kind of laugh about it afterwards because technically he didn't harm anybody, he didn't break anything."
The homeowners made sure to wipe the doorbell off.
