Two arrested, Hilltop house boarded up by police after drug search

At least two people are facing charges after Columbus Police searched a suspected drug house in west Columbus Tuesday. Investigators say they found 10 suspects and six dogs inside the house, along with drugs, and two people were arrested.

Investigators served the narcotics search warrant at a home at 123 N. Eureka Avenue in the Hilltop neighborhood. They say heroin was seized during the search, and one person was arrested for a felony warrant out of Madison County and a second suspect was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant.

Police also say they found there were no utilities at the home, raw sewage, and dangerous living conditions. Code Enforcement officers ordered the home to be vacated and boarded up.

Two of the dogs found in the home were taken to animal control, four others left with their owner.
