Teen dies six weeks after being shot

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- Police are investigating a shooting from late August that ultimately killed a teen six weeks later.

According to police, 19-year-old Joshua S. Lucas walked into Mt. Carmel West Hospital on August 27 with a gunshot wound to the upper body after he was dropped off by a car. Officials said Lucas died from his injuries a month-and-a-half later on Sunday.

Police say there are no known suspects or motives at this time.

It's the city's 99th homicide of 2017.
