CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The Cincinnati Reds’ 2018 Opening Day game against the Washington Nationals has been postponed because of impending inclement weather.

Local 12's Tera Blake had a gloomy forecast with rain expected most of the afternoon.

Local 12's Brandon Orr has a much better outlook on Friday with some sun and clouds, albeit temperatures a little lower.

First pitch was scheduled for 4:10 p.m. Thursday. It will now be 4:10 p.m. Friday. Local 12 will broadcast a pregame show live from Great American Ball Park at 3 p.m., followed by the entire game until last pitch.

All festivities scheduled for Thursday's Opening Day will take place as planned at the same times on Friday.

RHP Homer Bailey will face RHP Max Scherzer in Friday’s season opener, followed at 2:10 p.m. Saturday by RHP Luis Castillo versus RHP Stephen Strasburg. In a rotation change, RHP Sal Romano now will face LHP Gio Gonzalez at 4:10 p.m. on Sunday.

Monday watch as Local 12 broadcasts from Fountain Square with the 16th Annual Rally on the Square at noon. The 99th Findlay Market Parade kicks off on Local 12 with former Reds pitchers Danny Graves and Sam LeCure serving as parade grand marshals.
