COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- Crews are investigating a possible fentanyl spill at Columbus Police headquarters.
The building was on lockdown for more than an hour after a white powdery substance fell out of a suspect's pocket as they were taken into custody around 6:27 p.m.
It remains unclear what the substance was, because it wasn't field tested. It has been sent to be tested.
HAZMAT crews were called to the scene to assist Columbus Police with the investigation.
ABC 6/FOX 28 will have more details on this developing story when they're made available.
