Police: Westerville teens arrested for robbing, beating man responding to online ad

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- Two Westerville teens are accused of robbing and beaten a man during a meeting that was supposed to be for sale involving a video console.

Zachariah James, 15, and Tyrese Roberts, 16, arrested on Wednesday and charged with aggravated robbery, two counts of robbery, felonious assault & kidnapping for allegedly beating a 24-year-old man with a crowbar and robbing him of $200 in northeast Columbus on October 31. The deal was agreed to on the app OfferUp.

James could face additional charges by Westerville Police for bringing brass knuckles to Westerville South High School, where they were arrested, on Wednesday.
