Will Grimmer, a standout senior on the Ohio State University golf team, received a sponsor's exemption and will be allowed to compete in the PGA Tour Memorial Tournament later this month.
The recent graduate competed in every event for the Buckeyes over his four years and has qualified for two U.S. Opens over his career. He earned his second career victory in his senior season, a spot on the 2019 Arnold Palmer Cup team and now has the opportunity to play in the Memorial Tournament.
The Memorial, hosted by Jack Nicklaus, will be held May 27 - June 2 at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio.
Before Grimmer plays at the Memorial, he'll first tee it up with the rest of the Buckeyes at the NCAA Myrtle Beach Regional on May 13-15. Grimmer has a 72.48 stroke average during his time at Ohio State, and won the 2016 Bearcat Invitational as a sophomore and the 2018 Musketeer Classic, blowing away the competition and winning by an 11-stroke margin. This past season, he's had nine rounds in the 60s and and 13 rounds of part or better.
