An Instructional Aide and Coach who worked at middle schools in the Westerville City Schools district was arrested Tuesday, suspected of acquiring and sharing pornography involving minors. Donte Martin was taken into custody by Franklin County Deputies Tuesday morning.

Authorities say he was arrested as part of a countywide investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce.

Martin who is an employee of Educational Service Center of Central Ohio was assigned to Westerville City Schools starting in 2016. The school district says Martin worked as an Instructional Aide at Blendon Middle School during the 2016-17 school year. He's worked as an Instructional Aide at Walnut Springs Middle School for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 school years. Westerville City Schools says he also coached wrestling and 8th grade football at Walnut Springs during the 2017-18 school year and coached 7th grade football at Walnut Springs this years. He's also worked as an assistant girl's track coach at Blendon Middle School since 2016.

The School District sent a letter to families of students at Walnut Springs and Blendon Middle and High School to inform them of the arrest. School officials say it's likely some students at Blendon High School also know Martin.

District officials say they don't have many details as it's an ongoing investigation, but that it's "been a shock to everyone."

Counselors are available at the schools for anyone who may need support.
