COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- Warm temperatures had fans flocking to Ohio State's campus ahead of the 2018 Spring Game.
ABC 6/FOX 28 caught up with fans at Ohio Stadium, who were there to cheer on the Buckeyes' lacrosse team against Michigan on Friday night.
The game was pushed up from from Saturday afternoon due to the threat of severe weather, which also pushed up kickoff for the Saturday's Spring Game to 11:45 a.m.
"The family is really awesome. We are all really close and it is just a really fun experience for everyone of all ages," said fan Ellie Leblanc.
There were a large group of fans and family members of the lacrosse team tailgating before the game Friday afternoon.
"My brother plays on the team. He is number 33," said Leblanc.
People came from all over to the game, including Leblanc and her family, who came from Canada.
"We know somebody that plays for Ohio and well we wanted to come out and watch this, thought it would be fun," said 12-year-old Garrett.
Garrett, his brother, and father drove 12 hours from Massachusetts to be at the game. Dad said they may come to the Spring Game Saturday if it doesn't rain.
For the people at work, it is the start of their busy season.
"It is a big time," said Michael Caldwell with the parking crew, "because we have football about to come up."
Some came to the lacrosse game from closer to home.
"We live east of Gahanna, so not very far," said fan Pat Abele.
Abele was at the game to watch her nephew, the athletic band's drum major. She said, like many, the plan is to come back Saturday for the Spring Game.
"The weather is great, today is great, I hope that tomorrow is just as good," she said.
The game is sold out, but Ohio State students can still attend with their BUCK ID, as well as children under 6, who get in for free.
