A fifth-grader took advantage of the weather Thursday to raise money for local first responders as they deal with COVID-19.
Knowing neighbors would be out and about in the warm weather, Austin and his family opened a lemonade stand to raise money for first responders at Fire Station 27.
Austin sold cups of lemonade for $1, with all proceeds going to the fire station.
Austin said he wanted to help out the first responders and thank them for everything they are doing during the COVID-19 outbreak.
The lemonade stand raised $165.
