Marketing Your Transferable Skills

Have you ever wondered how to gain an edge over job candidates with similar education and qualification backgrounds? This workshop helps you to understand the concept of transferable skills and how to market them to potential employers.

1:00 p.m.

James Bishop, Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley

LinkedIn – Your Online Networking Resource

LinkedIn is the one of the most important networking tools for professionals and it is much more than your online resume. This class is designed for people wanting more from LinkedIn but if you are brand new to LinkedIn, come anyway. We will discuss your profile, your picture (yes you need one), engaging with others. LinkedIn is not the reason you will get a job but recruiters probably will look up your profile and if what they see doesn’t help demonstrate you are part of the professional world, that may be a concern.
