'Modern Family' picked up for 11th and final season by ABC

Popular sitcom "Modern Family" has been picked up for an 11th season and final season by ABC.

The show, which is currently in its 10th season, has been a fan-favorite since its debut in 2009.

“Chris and Steve have created one of the most seminal and iconic comedies in television history,” said Karey Burke, president, ABC Entertainment. “In its final season, there will be more milestone events that anyone who has been a fan of the series won’t want to miss.”

The show has since amassed over 200 episodes in its decade-long run.
